With full credit to my colleage Rebecca Fitzhugh’s blog post for the title, I’m looking forward to VMworld Europe – it’s my first VMworld in Europe actually.
VMworld over the years
Over the years I’ve attended VMworld in the US (and PEX when it was separate) as an SE for Varrow hardly knowing anyone, again as an SE knowing more folks, as an SE manager/director with lots of executive briefings, and now for Rubrik as Technical Marketing Manager. VMworld US was absolutely crazy – 2 sessions, 2 booth presentations, Rubrik party, Kevin Durant, winning Best of VMworld for both Data Protection and Best of VMworld overall. Coming off that high, I’m excited about VMworld Europe.

In case you’ve missed it, we’ve got a lot going on at VMworld Europe. More details at these links.
- VMWorld – Europe – Rubrik – Main web page listing all things Rubrik at VMworld
- Get Ready for Rubrik at VMworld 2017 – blog post by Chris Wahl – for VMworld US but covers sessions we’re doing in Europe as well.
- Rubrik Party with Nutanix Monday night – register here.
Outside of the sessions below, you can catch me at the Rubrik Booth (#P409) or I might see you in a customer or partner briefing. Feel free to message me via Twitter if you’d like to meet up.
If you’re new to VMworld, I’d highly recomend Chris Wahl’s blog post Getting the Most Value out of VMworld Technical Sessions.
We’ve even got some great #vAllStar “baseball cards” (pictures of them here on Twitter) of prominent folks in the IT community along with a lot of #backuphero shirts.
Sessions!
On Wednesday, I’ll be jointly presenting with Rebecca Fitzhugh (given it’s VMWorld I think I should mention she’s a VCDX) on Architecting Data Protection and where Rubrik can help. We promise to keep it from being a straight up product pitch. The agenda is….
Hopefully you can join us on Wednesday early afternoon – full session details below.
Before that I’ll be presenting a VMTN Community Session on Tuesday – pure education about mental models and how we learn.
Hope to see you!
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there – don’t hesitate to stop by to say hello!
